It can be very difficult to face the possibility that a beloved church might be nearing the end of its journey. It’s important to reflect on the signs that may indicate that a church is ready to close down, whether it’s a lack of resources, a dwindling congregation, or a shift in the needs of the people. It’s not an easy thing to consider, but acknowledging these signs with love and grace can help guide the conversation with care and understanding to know when to transition and how to honor its legacy.

Join Rev. Annika Lister Stroope, Stated Clerk, for a thoughtful and informative workshop on navigating the challenging decision of church closure. This workshop will be offered twice via Zoom: on Saturday, March 29 at 10 AM and again on Friday, April 4 at 10 AM.  Annika will guide you through a range of possibilities that include but are not limited to, selling property and full dissolution, as well as offering alternative paths for the future of a congregation.
