Small Towns, Big Challenges: A Highlight on Mission
Monroe Presbyterian Church was recently highlighted in a DSM Magazine article, featuring their work as an active partner to the PCM Food Pantry (a 501d3 non-profit organization). PCM Food Pantry uses the church for their home base. The congregation at Monroe actively supports the pantry efforts with volunteer hours and donation drives. Read the full article here.
The PCM Food Pantry in Monroe is part of the Food Bank of Iowa’s partner pantry network that is spread out over 55 counties. Whatever the pantry cannot fill through the Food Bank, volunteers supplement through church drives, community donations and purchases through the local Monroe Foods grocery store.
