Organized in 1870, Memorial Presbyterian Church in Cherokee celebrated 150+1 years on Sunday, June 27. Special music by children, youth, and adult choirs led the congregation in praising God for the countless lives that have been blessed through the ministry of the church. Representatives from the Presbytery of Prospect Hill and former pastors and youth directors brought greetings to the congregation. Former pastor Rev. Ray Kruger gave the sesquicentennial message. Guests, including Cherokee Mayor Craig Schmidt, attended the celebration service and congratulated the congregation for its witness and ministry in the city.
